Description:

This 2-day instructor-led course is intended for CommVault Administrators and Engineers who are responsible for designing protected storage and managing the associated media.
The course covers protected storage design concerns of availability, capacity and performance.
Emphasis is placed on planning for deduplicated storage and  working with consolidated virtual environments. This course also covers media management concerns, tasks, and best practices for efficient use of all types of protected media.
Students will learn essential design and management tools to build and manage their protected storage environment.
This course is designed as a natural follow-on to the 3-day core CommVault System Administration course.

Target Audience:

IT Managers and key personnel with responsibility for management, configuration and day-to-day operation of CommVault Simpana software.  Additionally, any person planning to take other CommVault Courses should first attend this course to achieve a required level of core knowledge essential to understanding advanced material presented in other CommVault courses.

2 days

Pre-requisites:

Attendees require an Administration level of understanding of Window 2003/2008 Server.

Training Environment:

While the most recent available version of the software is used in class, the presented concepts and best practices are applicable to all supported versions.
