Overview: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a performance-based test that measures actual competency on live systems. Called the "crown jewel of Linux certifications," RHCE proves an individual's ability to configure networking services and security on servers running a Red Hat OS. RHCE was recently named the hottest certification in all of IT.
The RHCE Exam:
Becoming a Red Hat Certified Engineer requirest passing a five-and-a-half-hour hands-on exam. There afe four different approaches to preparing for the exam depending on your existing level of Linux expertise.
Exam Preparation Normal Track:
- Red Hat Linux Essentials (RH033)
- Red Hat Linux Administration (and RHCT Exam) (RH133)
- Red Hat Linux and Security Administration (RH253)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer Lab Exam (RH302)
Exam Preparation Rapid Track:
Only for experienced Linux / Unix system administrators
- Red Hat Rapic Track Course (and RHCE Exam) (RH300)
